There's always a distinct shift between August and September in the UK.
Perhaps more than in any other two adjacent months. A change of light, chillier mornings and evenings, and the turning colours of the trees. After this unprecedented summer heat, many of you will be glad. It's a vivid reminder that we are a country of four seasons, with all the changes and compensations which each brings. Just like our own bodies, nature is constantly changing.
For some, September heralds a fresh start, the beginning of term, a new course, a settling down into a routine. And enjoying all those autumn fruits and vegetables- if they managed to survive this summer's drought!
